    Current mood: pleased

    2005 driver line up
So its that time of the season when most of the 2005 grid has been decided or about to be announced. This is what I know to date:-

    Ferrari : MS and Rubens
    Williams : Webber & ???
    Mclaren : Kimi and JPM
    BAR : Button and ???
    Renault : Alonso and Fisi
    Toyota : Ralf and ???
    Jaguar : Not Announced
    Sauber : Not Announced
    Jordan : Not Announced
    Minardi : Not Announced

If i have made a mistake there please point it out. so whos going to be filling these empty seats do we think ?

With Heifeld having been asked to test the williams last week, it wouldnt surprise me to c him partnering webber next season, BMW might be pushing williams toward Heidfeld since he is a german, but i dont think they is much doudt in his abbilites anyway and he would do well at williams.

BAR havnt renewed Sato's contract as far as i know, but i dont see why they wouldnt, plus it would help relations with Honda.

Many people are predicting that Trulli will be at Toyota next year, which i carnt see any problems with at all. it will be ashame if Da Matta were to leave F1 cause of this tho.

I hope jaguar give Klein another year in F1 and maybe take on another experienced driver. Many people are predicting DC to be in a jaguar next year.

Sauber have deffenatly got one spare seat for next year, but i think they should probably have 2 since i dont really rate Massa at all. Dont have a clue who would go there, heard something about an F3000 driver who ferrari are looking to replace MS long term. Lucci i think it was.

If Heidfeld were to leave for Williams, i think eddie would keep Pantano on for another year at least and maybe give a chance to another youngster, maybe put glock in the car for a year.

Finally Minardi, they generally have different drivers every season, so who knows.

Any one know anything i dont or like to make predictions ?

good to see u back...
grapevine says Sauber the pseudo ferrari team may be give Vitantonio Liuzzi a chance to acclimatise him to big league so he can take over Schummi's mantle @ Ferrari couple of seasons down the line.

@ this point of time its just concern of which of the disorganized opposition put a common consensus candidate against the well oiled engine called the Ferrari ...

DC is one sure candidate to move from Mclaren ( He is downhill anyways) so one of the lower team will lap him
RS is having Trulli in Toyota
& its Alonso & Fisi in Renault

Next season 3 teams that can pose some threat to red steam roller are
a) Mclaren improving Car but the infight between Moody Montoya and Roikonnen will be cause of concern
b) Renault with Alonso is good bait How Fisi works with him is question
c) Button is showing promise .but question is how Sato plays a perfect foil and how Honda improves the car

Toyota 2nd biggest Budget ..question is will they get their act together ..I trust talent of RS (but mental part is concern after two crashes) & the perfect chemistry with Other driver and the car of course is the question :-?

after my F1 trip I'm following American Open wheel racing in form of IRL and CHAMP Series
One point that I observe is that Drivers really work in tandem for cause of team unlike F1 (where maybe MS-RB work in Tandem for cause of MS)

So much for now

Mahesh
