Martha is no Rose.
Yes, I’m slowly being consumed by “Doctor Who.” The scope of that show is amazing. Past, present, future, whole different planets, it can be anything it wants to be. There is a formula, but I can ignore it quite easily. What I don’t understand is why the Doctor puts himself in emotional turmoil when he could just as easily scoop up Captain Jack and travel with him, a person who won’t age or die. No need to pick up a new companion every time he gets lonely. :p Wishful thinking, I know. Given how the Doctor sees the world, just looking at a fixed point in time and space is probably offensive.
Martha sure fell in love with the Doctor fast. Rose at least had ample time to develop feelings, so Martha’s “I love him to bits” is a bit out there (for me at least). I’ve got four more episodes in the third season before it’s onto the fourth. ^_^ Anyway, beyond that, not much going on. Family made a bunch of cookies on Saturday night, and I’ve got the burn to prove it. I hate the fact it’s right on my elbow where it bends. It’ll heal up, but for now, there’s always going to be an invisible bandage on it so the burn doesn’t rub up against anything. Okay, I suppose that’s it for now. Nothing more comes to mind.
