Square Enix said they had a "New blockbuster title" to show during the TGS which takes place this weekend.

"New blockbuster title"? More like they had three things up their ass in hiding. Kingdom Hearts 2 for the PS2, which I had thought would be the only thing originally annoucned. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, which I don't know if it's just a movie or a whole new game. And something completely unexpected.. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for GBA. I despise the TGS. It always comes with too many damn good things.

Oh, and not to mention I just learned now about Megaman X Command Mission, some RPG set in the MMX world. Gamecube or PS2. It's a good and a bad thing.. good for all of these games which have the potential for kick-ass-age, bad because it'll be too much crap to play. (Or watch, if Advent Children is just a DVD movie.)

	o_o; Uhm, just my two cents... >> from a stranger, yes. But I think that new FF7 game is a remake of the old FF7 game. o.o I heard they've got a project going to remake FF8 and FF9 as well. ^^ Just thought I'd share that. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Yeah, I remember that rumor way back when about the PS Final Fantasy remakes. Maybe it could be a remake and then a movie with it or something.. ? I mean, they show Sephiroth in the fire again. Squaresoft is very very sneaky, about everything. Like Konami and its MGS series, I'm doubtful we will know anything about FFVII-2 or anything like it until it has a slated release date. I tells you though, if they were to make a FFVII-2, or even a remake of the original, I would enjoy it 10 times more than some fangirl induced sequel to FFX. Pop star! I would also enjoy a 3D remake of classics like FFVI, or FFIV, which were fantastic. I read an old article about the possibilities of remakes, and Tetsuya Nomura (Chief designer at Square Enix) said that a remake would take the manpower of a completely new Final Fantasy game, of course. Because of this, it may be a few years off before we see Cloud in multi-polygon, bump-mapped (If on Xbox, I wish!) goodness, as they are hoping for a better launch of FFXI in America than the reception in Japan. Advent Children is a movie. "FF7-2" is a rumor to the best of my knowledge. Any ideas floating around about possible remakes of FF7 or FF8 on the PS2, as wonderful as they could be, are rumors to the best of my knowledge. A prequel to FF7, however, is not a rumor. http://www.1up.com/article2/0,2053,1583370,00.asp (if that link is broken, I apologize; I'd reccomend looking for "square enix before crisis" on Google to find articles on the topic.) It is currently titled Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII to the best of my knowledge. It is apparently being produced for a "mobile" device, so I would not anticipate state-of-the-art graphics. I too would love to see a 3D rendition of Final Fantasy 6. Have you seen some of the prototype models of FF6 characters that were going to be in a FF6 remake? *sigh* It has been difficult in my experience to find reputable sources of information on this scrapped production of the 3D FF6 remake, but the truth is out there. 	Hey, just read an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, and the movie will be set in the FF7 world, but he also hints at sequels to the other titles he worked on, and about kingdom hearts 2 and 3 for ps2, as well as the gba release. Hope that helps ^^ - a random blurty surfer (Reply to this) (Thread)
