    Disregard that last entry
I'm going ahead with my plans anyway. They're relocating their servers, so that explains the lag I had earlier. They're loading fine now. To most of you, this style looks messed up. It's becasue I have half the images loading from my hard drive. Village photos isn't allowing any uploads until the relocation is done. Hopefully it will be done by tomorrow because I'd like to get the rest of this site online before next week. By the way, I was looking through the stats for my last journal to help me decide what resolution I should optimize for. Surprisingly, the majority was 800x600. I would have expected that most people are at 1024x768. I did notice a few hits were at 640x480. Gah! Upgrade, people! Sorry, but this site will not work that low, nor will most of the web.

But you didn't come here to listen to my tech requirements, did you? Come to think of it, why are you here? That is something I'll never figure out. That and the fact that people still go to the old journal. More than once. It's like, "Naw, I was just kidding with that 'This journal has moved' notice. Just keep coming back and I'll update one of these days."

I was going to put some recent events in here, too. I am still tired from yesterday. It turned out to be the busiest day I've ever seen. That, of course, is relative to the fact that two people didn't show up. In the books it will probably go down as a normal Friday. But Herb did his usual no-show. Of course, he sometimes will just show up at around 7:30 to mix things up. And Dave was off...somewhere. I never found that one out. But he is alive, as he came in today, or so I assume. I took 21 runs, and learned that counting is not my strong-point. I could have sworn that I got closer to 25. To put it in perspective, I've been averaging around 12-10 a day, and the most I've ever done in one day is 15. Or 16. Or something like that. Moving on...to top it all off, Sandy wanted to go to Brann's for dinner (at 11:00), where I got a rare steak, drowned in the nastiest bourbon sauce in the world. See, that's my thing...I'll never go to New Orleans, so whenever I dine out, I scan the menu for watered-down Midwesternized Cajun food like "Jambalaya Chicken Salad," or my favorite, "Bourbon Steak." Been that way ever since I happened upon "Interview with the Vampire." But yeah...I've had Brann's steaks twice, and both times I wound up feeding most of it to the dog. I am really beginning to doubt their claim that they have the "best food in the world."

I like your new layout. It's all purty and cool and stuff. :)

Thanks! I was thinking of getting rid of most of the fanlisting icons and just using text links. They're hogging too much bandwidth.
