Pick a pocket full of sorrows, run away with me tomorrow...
Last night I went to the Metal/HXC Battle of the Bands dealy, because I love my friends enough to go to something like that even though I really don't like metal/hardcore music all that much.
But I am very glad I came ^__^
I mostly went for Saving Face and Eternity Void (Saving Face being Ben, Brian, Nicole, Meghan, and Charles's band and Eternity Void being a local metal band who is friends with Saving Face and are all really nice guys)
Every time I hear about these Battle of the Band OMG HARDKORE things I always decide against going because I am just not into it ande then I go because I'm Saving Face's only groupie and they need all the love they can get. And then I have fun anyway even though I hate everyone there and am not into most of the music.
Last night was definitely one of the better local shows I've been too. I love Meghan and Nicole so much <3
Ben is going to grow up to be a gay porn star, I just know it.
But you know what I decided I hate with a hideously intense passion? EMO MOSHING. You know the kind. Where all the skinny little emo kids in tight black shirts with white logos start swinging their arms in circles and stomping like sumo wrestlers and spinning around ramming into people and then getting really pissy if you push them back.
What's the point? It's not cool. It makes them look like kung fu/rockabilly/gorilla hybrids. It's seriously gay and I really hate it. I'm sorry. Wait, no I'm not. Yeah. I hate emo moshing.
*sits patiently waiting for half of her friends list to flame the hell out of her*
And my neck reeeeaaaly hurts. I got home about 11:30 and woke up about 9:30 and had nursery work today. GARGH. So I had to chase about 26 4-year olds all morning and it's most uncool when your neck and shoulders are rebelling against you.
I guess that for the myriad things I despise about metal shows, it can't be helped that I just always end up having a great time.
I need to get to more metal shows. I really do.
