Alamin mo kung ano ba talaga ang tingin ng tao sa ‘yo. Ni Sally Wadyka
1. Noong huling nagconfide sa ‘yo ang kaibigan mo ng isang problema at humingi s’ya ng advice…
a. Sinabi mo sa kanya lahat ng gusto n’ya marinig.
b. Hiningi mo lahat ng detalye, pinag-isipan itong mabuti, tapos nag-offer ka ng ilang mga makabuluhang suggestion.
c. Nakinig ka, tapos sinabi mo sa kanya kung paano nangyari na rin sa ‘yo ang problemang ‘yon.
2. Noong unang araw ng klase, sinabihan kayo ng teacher n’yo na maglaro ng “kilalanin ang inyong neighbor”…
a. Pinauna mo s’ya – ayaw mong isipin n’ya na self-centered ka.
b. Nagbigay ka ng ilang tanong para sa kanya, tapos nagshare ka tungkol sa sarili mo.
c. Sinabi mo sa kanya ang lahat – kung ano ang pangalan ng boyfriend mo, kung saan ka pinanganak, kung ano ang paborito mong kulay – at hindi mo nalalaman, nagring na ang bell.
3. Alin sa mga TV teens ang ikinukumpara ng mga tao sa ‘yo?
a. Willow (sa Buffy the Vampire Slayer) – nakakasundo n’ya ang lahat ng tao.
b. Elena (sa Felicity) – meron din s’yang mga bagay na pinagdadaanan, pero nandyan pa rin s’ya pag may kaibigang nangangailangan.
c. Nicole (sa Popular) – hindi sya nahihiyang ipaalam sa tao kung ano talaga ang gusto n’ya.
4. Mula sa school, tumambay kayo sa bahay ng kaibigan mo at nakinig ng BSB. Nang magutom ka…
a. Hinintay mong makauwi ka para kumain. Ayaw mong istorbohin pa ang mga magulang ng kaibigan mo para humingi ng merienda.
b. Sinabi mo sa kaibigan mo na nagugutom ka, tapos kinain mo kung ano ang hinain nya para sa ‘yo.
c. Dumiretso ka sa kusina at kumuha ng pagkain sa fridge.
5. Gusto mo ang ex ng kaibigan mo, at nararamdaman mo na hindi lang ito crush – marahil ito na talaga…
a. Wala kang gagawin. Ang ex ng isang kaibigan ay off-limits, kahit ano pa ang mangyari.
b. Kakausapin mo ang kaibigan mo bago ka gumawa ng move.
c. Sige lang! All’s fair in love and war.
6. Nagpagupit ang best friend mo at may pagka-radical ang kinalabasan. Nang tanungin n’ya ang ‘yong opinion…
a. Sasabihan mo s’ya na gustong-gusto mo ito. Sabagay, wala na rin naman s’yang magagawa.
b. Susubukan mo muna na malaman kung ano ang nararamdaman nya – kung gusto n’ya ito, edi maganda; kung hindi, i-rereassure mo sya na tutubo din naman ito agad.
c. Masyado mo itong nagustuhan kung kaya naman ay tumakbo ka sa salon para magpagupit nang ganun na ganun mismo.
7. Kapag ikaw at iyong mga kaibigan ay magkakasama, paano kayo nagdedesisyon kung saan kayo pupunta at anong gagawin ninyo?
a. Ayos lang sa’yo kung ano ang gusto nilang lahat.
b. Mahirap magplano, pero nagagawa n’yo pa ring sumang-ayon sa isa’t isa.
c. Madalas mong sinusubukang kumbinsihin ang mga kaibigan mo na pumunta sa lugar kung saan pwede kayo magkasalubong ng crush mo.

Hindi ka pa naman gaanong nakakairita! Maganda na natutugunan mo ang mga pangangailangan at nararamdaman ng ibang tao, at nag-iingat ka na h’wag magsabi ng kahit anong makasasakit sa kanila. Pero may mga panahon na kailangan mo talaga maging mas assertive sa mga sarili mong kagustuhan. S’yempre, gusto mong magustuhan ka ng lahat ng tao (sinong hindi?), pero h’wag mong hayaan tapak-tapakan ka na lang ng mga tao. Ano ba, hindi ka naman ituturing peste kapag humingi ka ng maiinom sa kaibigan mo kapag nauuhaw ka eh!
Halos lahat ‘b’ nakukuha ang mga pahiwatig
Hindi ka masyadong pushy, pero hindi ka rin naman push-over. Nakikinig ka sa mga signal na binibigay ng mga kaibigan mo, at hindi naman porket ganun ay automatic nang hinahayaan mo na lang na sila parati ang masusunod. Marahil tinuturing kang peacemaker ng mga kaibigan mo dahil magaling ka sa pakikinig sa parehong side at nakahahanap ka ng paraan na magka-ayos ang lahat. At alam mo rin na minsan ang isang white lie ang pinakamagandang paraan para magkasundo kayo – basta maging maingat ka lang na huwag magpadala dito!

Ang magandang balita, hindi ka nahihiyang tumayo para sa sarili mo at hingin kung ano talaga ang gusto mo (at madalas ay nakukuha mo ito). S’yempre hindi mo naman sinasadya na maging nakakairita, pero minsan dahil dito masyado ka nang nagiging makasarili. Kahit ang mga pinakamalapit mong kaibigan ay pwede ring mapagod na parati na lang nilang kailangang gawin kung ano ang gusto mo. Subukan mong maging sensitibo sa mga signal na binibigay ng mga kaibigan mo – at maaaring makita mo na masaya rin pala kapag sila ang nasusunod!
