    Current mood: exhausted

You know what's the worst thing ever? When you can't sleep and you have to go to work in three hours. And you know what doesn't help much either? Still having to grade papers. But no worries kids, I'll have updated grades tomorrow. Even if it means I won't be at school tomorrow.

You won't be at school tomorrow? -she dramtically sighs- Now tomorrow is going to just stink.

Now, now, now. You should know I'm not a fun of sarcasm, Miss Monroe.

Who said it was sarcastic?

Who said it wasn't? I'm sure there'll be kids who are glad to know that I might be be at school tomorrow.

I'm sure there will be too, I just might not be one of 'em.

And why is that?

Eh...I guess I could call you, so far of course, my favorite teacher.

Aw, that makes me feel special, Miss Monroe. And I can say that you were my favorite student.

-smiles- Well, I'd hope so. It's always better when the feelings are mutual.

And sure enough, the feelings are mutual. Now if I may ask, what are you doing up so late? Go to sleep.

I'm not tired, the person I'm with snores really loudly so I can't sleep. Why don't you go to sleep then?

I've got papers to grade.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

talia_monroe

Then why are you talkin to little ol' me? Shouldn't you be off grading papers, or getting some more extra credit from a student?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

matt_stanton
2003-06-12 07:32 (link)
Because I'm curious as to if you'd like to come over and help me grade these papers so I can get at least two hours of sleep.

-- Narrows his eyebrows at her comment. --

No student needs it as of yet.

-she smirks- Grade papers, hm? Yeah, I bet. And I'm sure that little "no student needs it as of yet" will be changing shortly.

I was wondering what you think about some of us students starting a tutoring program. My friend and I have both been approached by HS students about their work being to hard for them. We'd love to start a tutoring program but need a teacher to help up get it started. Would you be interested?

P.S. I love your class.

That sounds like an excellent idea. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. And yes, I would love to help you guys get it started up.

P.S. Thank you, Miss Joshuan. Many people think otherwise, heh.

Sounds good.

I don't think they hate your teaching skills, just what you do outside of class.
