    fantastic fog
our last night in france was taken up with a mad bike ride at midnight, through the fog...we could hear beats on the breeze and decided to track the source..
found first of all a party where there was no obvious entrance in someones garden...
the dj was obviously completely pissed as he kept changing records after about a minute..
then found a wierd night club in the back roads where really big bouncers were throwing drunk kids out into the middle of nowhere..."cest terminee cest terminee!!"
i kept my wine strapped to the back of the bike and pedalled with great fervour,up and out of the village, along the water, through the fields and past the beaches, and marvelled at how fog makes your hair look really good...
    (its a texture thing)
came back from france with cool loot
    lots of crepes and gallettes
    and a p.a,
    some cheese and nutella
and a lovely mix desk (blaises)

my car was straining under the weight of the sound system..
but so exciting to have the desk and p.a...
    one step closer to autonomy
spent a night in suspended animation on the boat back only running on one engine out of 3...
(like sitting inside a sardine can or a nasty coach for a really really long ride (8 hours)

eventually submitted and crawled under my seat lying next to various crisp bags and sandwich crusts listening to the solitary engine rumbling under me...

people next to us were talking about the fact that one of them had lost his hearing aid, broken his glasses and had just been shouted at by the cabin crew for being where he wasnt meant to be..they were all laughing at his plight in a very english "oh dear, oh well, oh thats nice" kind of way...this i found remarkably light hearted considering the poor guy had spent most of his week unable to see or hear..i think i would have been furious and ill tempered
(they had those blow up cushions around their necks to stop them dribbling in public if they fell asleep)

this was followed by a lovely (hah!) 4am drive from poole to london..
arrived as the sun came up and had wine to convince myself it was a sunset not a sunrise
anyway all that over and aside we have only today and tomorrow before getting in the studio..
gonna try and keep my mind undawater...
big swim keepin me drifting with the flow rather than kicking against the eternal struggle
been twisting and bending paranoid for monday..
its my most fav song we have done together and im sure its gonna shine
    bring on the beauty!
gonna take risks and see what happens.
    fuck being polite...

    bisous x

Glad you enjoyed the expedition to France. Unlike a lot of Brits, I LOVE the French. Cool people, good food, good wine.... Looking forward to hearing the 'twisted' version of 'Paranoid'.... Any more confirmed live dates on the horizon?
