last night was AMAZING
i had the greatest time last night. Saves the day never fails to put on an incredible show... it was the 2nd to last night of their tour so they kinda went all out. moneen kept invading the stage while they were playing. std covered "hey ya", it was soooo great. i was pretty close to the front this time for taking back sunday, as opposed to walking in circles around the place their entire set. and crowdsurfing was sooo much more fun this time, seeing as it was to actual music and the dude who got me up was wicked cool, as opposed to doing it to no music, almost falling down, and losing 1 1/2 earrings. i was like 2 rows back during saves the day... and everyone was around me, all my friends, nothing beats singing to a great band with your favorite people!
after the show i was drenched, it was pretty disgusting, but i swear to you, nothing mattered. who cares how bad you look after you've had the best time of your life? but it was cold outside and all i had on was my tanktop. we hung around the tour busses to see if we could meet band members, and the guitarist from taking back sunday walked by and i yelled hi to him and thanked him for a great show. he came back again and patted me on the back and said "you should put something on, you're going to get sick" or something like that, it was soooo nice. he's a great great guy. we met ebin too, he was across the street right in front of the club, i wasnt nervous around him like i had been before, it was really nice. he had a slinky and he also told me to put a sweater on. then later, steve] told me after i walked away, he was like "kids these days are crazy walking around without coats." and his female friend goes "i think her shirt's cute." and he goes "its not cute, its PAINFUL!" hahahahahahahahha! we finally gave up on ever seeing chris and met everyone at mcdonalds... things got kinda technical with train rides home, and the whole group split up, some going home, and we stayed. the subway ride was nice cause i met these two awesome guys from berkeley who asked me if my mcdonalds cup was a mcdonalds shake, and i said yes and offered them some. we got into the politics of mcdonalds shakes, and what flavor was best, and decided they were all awesome. they were from other states, and i found out that one of them knew where i used to live in georgia! how funny is that?! i love being from all over, it gives you something to talk about. they then guess what grade i was in, and one guy was completely wrong, and before i gave my answer, the other guy got it on the spot. okay, so the conversation wasnt that cool, but they were WICKED nice guys and one of them was a bassist and the other a guitarist. like i said, meeting people is awesome. we got home alright and on the train ride we met a really cool kid named tom who let us listen to his straylight cd and will be at the show tonight. i ended up sleeping at my house. now my neck kills and i've got another big night ahead of me. but i'm reallllly excited!!!
Thank you all for such an amazingshow!
