My second review of the week...
You have to love insomnia. I sat and read for about three hours last night when I could not sleep- so here it is!

Main:

Intelligence: 9/10

She is a very bright girl. I can definitely say that if she continues on next term with her schooling, she will not be sorry. It is good to see bright women out in the world- there needs to be more of us! I do think she lacks the belief of this very intelligence that I and other readers see. I wish she knew the full potential she holds. I enjoyed the randomness her entries held, including light hearted and sensitive entries- it's nice to see a balance in a person, and that shows me, they know a lot about themselves and aren't afraid to show it- which reinforces any intelligence they hold.

Emotional Value: 7/10

As I mentioned before she goes through a lot, she is quite personal, but I still feel a little of her true emotions were let out in her journal. Her more recent entries are a lot more impersonal and lack any true information, or at least information that could really tell me what or how she was feeling. She definitely has a good handle on her emotions and explaining them quite detailed when she does let them out and on to her blurty.

Individuality: 8/10

She does stand out from other users- the only thing she lacks, is I feel aside from family and friends her life is impersonal, nothing about love, ambitions aside from school. Nothing is wrong with this either, but I think I would have felt she stood out more knowing these types of things. She is compassionate, light hearted, funny and very creative. All great attributes that stand out clearly.

Customization: 10/10

Very adorable. I would take a point for this, but I feel it's me only being picky- the area that her journal is in, is small and does not scroll easily which sort of annoyed me, but I have a feeling that was more of my browser being a pain in the bum, than the layout. The colors, the theme and the whole thing just really work well together. It is very pretty and fully customized. I enjoyed looking at it, and reading it.

Courtesy and grammar: 9/10

I think her grammar was great, for someone who is bilingual. Her courtesy is definitely superb as well, the only thing I noticed is a few entries would have benefited from the LJ cut a bit more, but that is just me, I am sort of LJ cut happy anyway. She does not use slang or really abbreviate anything, which is a thumbs up in my book.

Bio: 5/5

This bio was constructed quite well. I really sensed a lot more about her, and it explained a few questions I may have had, while reading her entries. I enjoyed her humor a lot in the bio, as well…I did not sense her humor as much in her journals but I definitely know she has it!

User Pics: 5/5

Very nice! I am quite impressed with them and she takes the time to credit herself or others that have done them for her. A nice polite thing to do among journaling communities and many journal users do not do this.

Contactability: 5/5

She has all the stalker qualities a blurty stalker would need to find this girl! Definitely more than I'd ever give out, but I'm a little private sometimes. Definitely an open and seemingly confident girl!


Quantity: 1/5

I hesitated on giving an one, and not trying to be harsh but her posting is definitely erratic and lax in the past several months. At a point over summer, there would be at least a week between updates- and then when she did update the content was very…dull. Just a quiz or something, even after not posting for a while. I try to update at least every day, and from viewing others, most try to do the same. However, if she were to at least do a decent update once a week, these points could easily be redeemed, when she does offer a lot of great content, it's awesome to read and you learn more than just the quiz or picture post offers.


Blurty Involvement: 4/5

Her involvement is decent, she definitely is a member of a lot of communities and has a lot of friends. However, her quantity pulls this down. She has had her blurty for over 2 years and has not broken 200 entries. I think to be a bit more involved she would have a lot more than that, and her comments are a decent amount as well, but her erratic behavior pulls down her involvement.

Journal Style:

Impression: 3/5

This was a quick read, because it was enjoyable, but it was not something I would go out and read on my own. I am torn on my impression really. I like her, I think she is a great person, but I didn't feel like I came away knowing much about her- other than she is smart and has great ambitions.

Sense of Humor: 1/5

Her sense of humor is really left out of her journal, except in angsty entries and her bio. That helped me get her a little more, but I still do not think I know exactly how her humor operates.

Style: 4/5

Consistent and nice, only a few annoying things here and there- sometimes she writes "_)(*)(^&)&(*^&^%$%$" which for some reason has always gotten under my skin. Also some of the times an LJ cut would have made me sense more of a consistency or caring for the audience. I love her layout though- she definitely has some talent.

Openness: 2/5

Friends only, usually knocks this score down. I have understood making your whole journal private- unless you have a stalker- which then I would understand- but I did not really find much in her journal that would need to be kept secret, unless I just don't know something. Her openness as for content is there but seems like it's on the verge of breaking open- I could really feel she wanted to say more on how she felt but never fully delivered.

Great person, she has an awesome head on her shoulders- I wish that at 18 I would have been as confident and talented as her!
