Online Portfolios in my field of study
Now I’d like you to do some research for online portfolios, professional Web sites, or self-presentations such as online resumes in your major or career field. Find at least two sites to examine. Then answer these questions in your blog entry:
 How are the portfolios in your field different from the other ones you’ve looked at? Communications portfolios are simple and to the point whereas others are page and pages of the same information.
 How are they similar? Why are they different (if they’re different)? The online resumes that I found and researched are similar to the one I have but there are more honors and accomplishments on theirs.
 Are there things that these portfolios have that are specific to your field? What are they? Television production, media design, coordinating communications, blockage to the public.
 Based on your observations and what you know about online portfolios in general, what do you think the “rules” are for creating a portfolio in your field? In communications, the who, what, where, when, why and how are a lock to have in your online portfolio.
