Poisoned
I've been mixing my poisons a little too recklessly these days, which runs contrary to the general wisdom of alcohol binging. Before Jess and I even left Captain's Bar, I've already had a champagne cocktail, a vodka martini and a gin and tonic. Tell me that isn't bad.
(A friend of Jess's, a popular infamous reprobate, incorrigible and scalawag HK blogger going by the moniker of Spike, wrote about his encounter with us. So, okay, we might have been less sugar than spice.)
Drop was good fun as usual, maddeningly so because the place is so damn small - about half the size of your typical Mohammed Sultan shophouse club - and which by no means meets safety standards with the numbers it somehow crams in its pitifully limited space. It is claustrophobia at its most acute. More - n- vodka somethings.
So by the time the gyrating Drop crowd pushed me to my wits' end and out the door to Goccia, where general ennui in turn forced Clas and I to that epitome of seedy in Wanchai (okay, there are always higher mountains to climb, like Neptune, but a girl can only aspire), Dusk Till Dawn, I can only say that I was like an alcohol-sodden rag. One that was a little too close to mopping up the filthy Wanchai pavements, for comfort.
Then somehow, he kissed me. Or maybe I did. Or perhaps our lips just found their way, magnetically, though unintentionally, but that's what lips do.
SCHIZER!
But it was nice. Strangely nice. Perhaps it's the knowledge that that was what I missed. Not the who, but the what.

Am I popular? Never quite feels that way to me. But thanks again for cheering me up on Saturday.

Huh? How, who, why? But anyway in response to your qn, should I say "infamous"? ;)
Hope you were suitably cheered...you still looked pretty forlorn getting into the cab!

Infamous? Hardly. Reprobate would be good. Incorrigible is also good. Scalawag rolls off the tongue nicely.
I looked forlorn? Nah, I was indeed cheered, I was just thinking about where I was going and what I was going to do when I got there and why, and then I went there and did that and didn't think about it anymore!

Amendments made per instructions and am very heartened to hear that you did what you got to do. Not probing (family-oriented site you know?)
Forget it, anon, I'm probably the only person updating on blurty these days, everyone's moved on to bigger and better things. Living in constant fear that they will somehow shut down the site actually!(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) |

Yeah, and that's why I was thinking about sharing the sordid details of the rest of my evening with you but recognize that you may be relatively shock-proof but for anyone else who comes here, quien sabes?
P.S. You're probably not looking for reasons to move, given how long you've apparently been here (no, I haven't gone and been creepy and read through all the old stuff, just noted the number of posts and comments), I find it impossible to read the security code that I have to repeat back for posting comments and your RSS feed just gives article headers, no content, which is so 2005.(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) |

The underaged brother and Christian, Chinese female crowd might find it objectionable, yes.
Anyway, it's not like anyone besides friends and 1 member of the family read these brainfarts of mine, and that isn't gonna change, so this thing doesn't have to be too fancy (what was that tech-Greek about, haha) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) |
