    happiness
what would you consider the cream of life.....the rich very rich part that you skim off the top and savor.

for me it is things like cuddling up on the couch, watching a good show with a fire roaring in the fire place, on a cold winter night, knowing that i am toasty warm both inside and out.

life has it's ups and downs, but i refuse to give into the downs. i like to look at the good and ignore the bad. it keeps me grounded, peaceful, and happy.

    life itself is the cream.

My name is Carla, as you might get from my "user info". I am very curious about Reiki, and plan to get my Level One in the near future. I have been looking for someone new to talk to and share stories and ideas with. I hate to sound judgemental but I have found that a lot of the people that use this site are either too into mediattion and religion or just think that it is cool. I look forward to hearing from you.

i just discovered reiki this past fall, and it has been one of the
best things that has ever happened to me. I tend to think of
myself as more spiritual than religious. I believe in following
your heart and not your head, and religion for me has not been
going in the same direction as my heart. I believe in god, and
that love is the most powerful force in the universe. Meditating
and healing with reiki is a totally wonderful experience. It is a
natural and glorious high and it is available to everyone that
breathes. You can use it on yourself or send it to others, and it
will only work for the highest good. There is a group on Yahoo
that gives free distance attunements, you can look them up at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grassrootsreiki/ and it is
absolutely amazing how it really works. I wish you much love and
peace wherever life leads you.

Hi Deborah. Thank you for the web site and everything. It looks like we share the same sort of ideas regarding spirtituality and religion. I also believe that love is the strongest force in the world, but forgivness is the best gift you can give someone... I am just starting out with all of things. I have spent around six months gathering information but I think that you also need to spend time testing it, to make sure that it is your truth. I don't necessarily believe in God. But there is definatly something that we don't know. I also know that I am not interested in this to find out THE truth per say, but to find out MY truth, what makes me feel better about this world.
Thank you for your time. Talk to you soon....

One of the things that attracted me to reiki, was that it had no religious boundaries. It is available to all. It exists like the air we breathe. I believe like you say, we all have our own “truth” so to say. I was raised Christian and my husband was raised Moslem. I struggled for years wondering why there are so many religions in the world and they all claim to be the one and only truth. I have come to realize that it doesn’t matter. As you say, we all have our own truth, and we have to follow what are heart thinks is right for us. As long as love is at the center, that is all that matters. Some of the basic teachings in the bible and other great books have been overshadowed with doctrine putting aside the very best parts like the simplicity of love one another. Some people take reiki and make it a part of their spiritual journey, and some people just use it for healing. I am using it for both. I have met a lot of people from all over the world on the boards and have learned a lot. There is a lot of loving support out there on the internet, it is amazing. Blessing to you on your journey for seeking your truth.
