Dear Blurty user(s), Yes, there are problems with some parts of Blurty at the moment. That is why your journal is in read only mode, under maintenance, you're not getting emails and you can't log in. You are not the only one affected - even the news journal is down, which is annoying because there is no way of letting users know what is going on. The site admins are aware of the problem, and will get it sorted as soon as they can. However, filling the support boards with requests demanding that your journal be fixed right now is not going to help anyone. Neither is getting pissy because the answer you receive doesn't actually tell you anything. We don't really care if you think the site sucks and you're going to move to x other site. Blurty doesn't need users with that kind of attitude. There is nothing that support volunteers can do right now to help - we don't know any more than you do. We can't tell you when everything will be fixed, nor can we speed up the repairs. As such, we do not appreciate getting IMs/emails/comments regarding the problems. Most people would see that as an invasion of their privacy. There are other things you can do whilst your journal is down. If you feel the need to post, write it up in your text editor of choice and save it so you can post it later. You can even backdate stuff if you want. Regards, Your friendly Support Volunteer I'm getting fed up of giving the same answer to questions when I know it doesn't actually help that much. Only the admin know how long it will take to fix the site, and they have far more important things to do than reply to hundreds of support requests about it. [edited to add that news is alive, and lurking at ~news. But not news.bml. Which means I've just re-written the answer to one support request 3 times. gah!]
