Wo Ek Lamha

tanha tha wo ek lamha, jhijhak ke jo kahin chala
na jaane kaun si dariyaon mein bah ke kahin chala
abhi bhi hai nigahon mein, halki si chubhan uski
teri yaadon ne laaye kuch jo ansoo, wo jhatak chala

chala wo sar jhukaye aasmaanon mein ghtaon mein
kabhi khush ho gaya aur kabhi mayoos ho chala
teri ummeed ke saaye mein jaane kab kahan nikla
kabhi kuch khojne nikla, kabhi yoon hi bhatak chala

wo lamha ja raha shayad teri sanson ki sarhad tak
liye ek aas ka dhaaga na jaane kab nikal chala
charaag main jaloon kya, ki wo dekh aaye fir tumko
runansaa sa koi jazba mere dil mein khatak chala

nighahein door tak daudi magar lamha na wo aaya
tadap ke aur ek lamha jo haathon se pighal chala
yoon hi fir dard ke jaamon ke ghoont main peeta hoon
wohi ek pyaas ka lamha gale mein kuch atak chala

Ji Abhi, Saw, your help thru the comment box. Thanks for fixing the vexing problem. Amazing how I comletely blacked out that passage. And I can remember passages and passages from whatever I have read. It is too late now, nearly two in the morning, will visit tomorrow and read your Woh Ek lamha.
