A prayer for Marine Staff Sergeant Thomas McRae of Juneau was made on the floor of the State House of Representatives Monday.
The 29 year old Marine was seriously injured by a roadside bomb last week in Afghanistan. The Marine Corps says McRae lost his legs and left arm. In addition, he suffered injuries to his brain and both eyes.
Juneau Representative Cathy Munoz informed her colleagues of the incident.
McRae, who was born and raised in Juneau, joined the Marines when he was 18.
He has served three tours in Iraq. This is his second tour in Afghanistan.
He's now being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
