Well, I work 7 days in a row this week. gonna be fun!!!!!!! Im already exausted, and its only 4 days into it. Got a DUI on saturday night. that was exciting. first one for me in a long time. Other than that, Everything is dandy. We have our Weployment orders. We are leaving early July. Gonna be fun!!!!!

	We just had a two day jury trial on a guy for a DWI. Boring as anything with the experts arguing about the value of Datamasters. But he was found guilty - makes his second felony DWI. He's going to be in for a long time... (Reply to this) (Thread)

	datamasters are out of the times. we still use em for gosh sakes. and if the army uses it, you know theres something a whole lot better. (Reply to this) (Thread)

LOL - I thought the Army was supposed to have the newest gadgets!! Like the $300 hammers a few years ago! (or am I dating myself with that one?) I'm sorry to hear that you are going back again to Iraq. I hope I NEVER see your name in the papers, I send you off with blessings every single day. And apparently there is a Datamaster CM or CMD that is being used now and it detects nothing but alcohol - not mints, not pizza, what else was testified to - not gum, not desserts, not chewing tobacco.... she had a long list that she personally had tested on the machine. That was the only interesting part of the testimony, I think. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Its not that it detects the other crap, it will give a false reading if they are chewing gum or recently spit. the whole point of the datamaster is to get the air from the lungs. Thats why you give that 15 minute observation period to verify that they didnt drink, eat, spit, or anything else so you can ge thte air deep from the lungs. But I like that idea afor the new one. Instead of waiting and leting there BRAC lower with the waiting time, just throw them on it when you get to the station and instant results!!!! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
