I hate people.

I'm bored.
I watched Detroit Rock City today.

Ok. I don't watch TRL on a normal basis, just because I can't stand the shit they call music on there. Anyways, my mom just put it on. And it's weird, I used to love Good Charlotte (in the past 3 months I've done a total 360 in music genres but I still have their posters, cds and all. Just don't like them anymore.) .. and my friends and I have had so many GOOD times with those guys, enjoyed about a dozen of their shows and to see the success that they've amounted to is just really fucking INSANE. I mean I never would have guessed when I was the 13 year old, Benji loving, freak that they'd eventually be headlining the TRL countdown everyday. I mean, those guys are (were?) very down to earth and to not be able to turn on the tv without seeing one of their faces is weird. They're extremely nice guys.. but where did this whole "punk rock" persona come from? Yeah, Benji always thought he was a little punk rocker, but now Joel is all decked iut in ghetto wear with a mohawk. It's cute, it's making them money.. but I think Avril Lavigne wore that trend out. And Billy? Since when did he talk on camera?..

I'm watching the MTV2 thing now and I don't understand how MTV can put the words "spanking new band" in front of their name. It sickens me how MTV can over play a band so much. And since they're MTV constantly, they're constantly mentioning MEST and I guess they'll be the next "spanking new punk rock band" for MTV to exploit. Even if I do hate on them I think if Good Charlotte played small venues like the TLA or Birch Hill for $12 again.. I'd go see them.

	mm yes...i still have a gc poster on meh wall, need to cover it with a hopesfall poster or something. lol..<3 & i used to think billy was sooo hot. i guess i still do, but before the funky long hair days. he looked much better w/ shorter, blacker, spikier hair. weee! (Reply to this) (Thread)
