Yanno what makes me insanely happy? The 1 Spot in Target. Oh, so happy. I've bought so much useful junk there in the last few weeks, from candles shaped as palm trees, coasters,to 1lb weights and boxes designed specifically for organizing loose CDs. Tonight I showed Brooke to this magical land and she also bought a bunch of delightful junk that she didn't NEED, but she's like me...I love getting a bunch of STUFF for almost nothing.

I wish I were downtown at *the Strip* right now. Because both ZOSO and The Tiles are playing tonight. I saw the Tiles after Bayfest,and could not stop dancing like a fool. I would've loved to chatted them up but I was, well, with another band and that was outta the question it seems. And I can't help but wonder if ZOSO would remember me.

I have got to get my social life back together. I used to be downtown or at gigs allll the frickin time, but right now life is so lackluster. Tonight all I did was eat at Tijuana Flats and cruise Target with Brooke. We worked on her MySpace for awhile, then she zipped off to meet up with her dickhead boyfriend. 11pm on a Friday night and here I am. Blah.

I think I'm a retail religion whore because Target is one of the many consumer churches at which I worship. I bought three picture frames in the 1 Spot before I left for college two years ago. I still have them in my room at home and they still look splendid. God Bless the 1 Spot. I'm on MySpace now (why do I keep getting new blogs when I can barely manage the upkeep for one?) and I am having a horrible time with it. Do you know how to get something to show up instead of "No Picture" when people see my display name in a search? I uploaded a default profile image, but I'm still getting nothing and the FAQ section kind of suqs. Make your own social scene, flowerchild, and make it awesome. That's what I always do. Then again, I'm a total dweeb, so my advice not only doesn't hold water, but I think it's actually afraid of water. (Reply to this) (Thread)

If you keep getting a "no photo" when you know for a fact that you uploaded one....it might be that it timed out, because it told me that several times. really all I could do was to keep trying...did you accidently un-mark it as your default? Or, it might be too big, perhaps? The limit is 600x600.... If I could make my own social scene, I totally would. Just the other day I was pondering, what would the local bouncers do if me and bestfriend showed up at the club doors dressed in teddies and corsets, garters, fishnets, the whole deal...would we be let in free wherever we went? Or could we just walk down the street, making friends with every guy we passed? I've been reading a lot about the hipster, hippie chicks in the '60s who dressed that way...it was the fashion, it was sexy, and wasn't viewed as provactive because it was the '60s. I would love to bring that to our little downtown scene, because things are gettin kinda drab down there. So I just need to find the confidence to do so... (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
