None of what Impavidus wrote is true. Emo people are exactly like everyone else. It's just a subculture, just like preps, goths, punks, etc. Nothing wrong with it. It's just a kind of music, way to dress, and a way to express yourself. Personally, I don't consider myself emo, even though I seem to fit in that group since everyone calls me that, but pretty much everyone I know is emo, and they don't go through shit like this. It's rude to post lies like this. Go do something productive instead of lowering others' self-esteem just because they're different than you.
