But maybe someday when my ship comes in
It was the first day of exams today, and I must tell you that my first period exam was nice. I was at home and I drank orange juice and coffee and watched the Today show. I went in at ten to go to conley's. First i asked La Begeal if I could switch to be his intern, and I was surprised, because I thought he would have been overcome with joy about it. He was sort of reserved about it for some reason. But I went up and asked mrs. a and she said I could. After going back down to collect my gloves and scarf and running into corbett, I went to musical theatre. Georgia asked if you could get thrown back out of college for failing an exam (she just got into app) and I told her "yes" without thinking. She started crying. I played with her hair and started singing one of the three hungarian songs from two years ago. "In the window, out the front door Throw old nanny from the top floor Pack her head into a basket Let her sell it in the market" And no, it's not about a grandma. It's about a goat. Georgia started laughing.
Alex Wisnoski showed up. We all looked at him- the ones of us who knew him- and said "what are you doing here?" Tenea told him he looked like Dax from Punk'd. He really did. He had long hair that was a little wavy and some facial hair, and he was wearing a 'trucker-ish' hat. He said he would have given us some of the answers, but he didn't know any. I was complaining about having to name 9 Rogers and Hammerstein musicals. Georgia made fun of me and said that it was "sooo easy." I got: Oklahoma Carosel State Fair The Sound of Music South Pacific The King and I... and then I wrote down Oliver and Fiddler on the Roof- which i was pretty sure weren't. It was then that everyone began saying they could only think of two of them. Ms. Conley started giving us hints. Her first was "Blooming Percussion." T and I couldn't figure it out, so she resolved to 'talk it out.' "What blooms?" "A flower," said someone. "And a drum is a percussion instrument." And then I said, "Flower!..." and stopped myself before I gave away the answer to all. (It was Flower Drum Song)
The last one was revealed as something based on a shakespeare play, a tragedy, that was like west side story. (R and J), and that it had three words: a pronoun, a conjunction, and a name. I put "I and Graziella," which, if you know west side story, is a common quote from the jet girls.
That sounds like a good musical. I think I'll write it.
"I and Graziella" Ever wondered what happened to the jet girls?
Yes. And I imagine them something like a cross between Laverne and Shirley and That Girl.
