    Current mood: crazy

    What the hell, brain?
So last night I dreamt that I was at a sort of adventure farm - a farm re-imagined as a theme park, almost. In my dream, I found the horse section, which was a massive barn/stable full of long rows of stalls, end to end, instead of the more usual side-by-side arrangement. The horses were all left tacked up, and were being taken out, ridden in a very boring circle, and then put back, mostly by unsupervised kids. There were little brats running up and down the aisles screaming and the horses all looked seriously depressed. I opened the nearest door to my right and went in, where there was a chestnut or bay horse who looked really miserable. It was horribly ewe-necked and pretty pissed-off looking. I think I tried to take off its saddle and while I was doing something by its side, it leaned around and bit me right on the bum, hard, and took a mouthful of my jacket too.

Am I a) actually insane or b) simply getting there slowly?

I think it may be a combination of that episode of Dollhouse with the lady on the horse (because it looked a little ewe-necked) and a couple of near misses I've had in the past - one horse deliberately stepped on my foot, the sod, while the other sank his teeth into my poor boob. But seriously... I think I need more sleep. Or something.

In other news, I've got another 2 weeks off work. WHY IS MY FOOT STILL NOT BETTER YET?

Ouch. As for the dream, I'm a teacher, not a psychoanalyst, but I do like Stephanie's interpretation: dreams are there to provide us entertainment whilst we sleep.

Dreams often reflect your current preoccupation. It sounds like you're projecting your boredom and frustration with your foot onto your subconscious and the resulting scenario has ensued. The ewe-necked horse could be representing your injury, for example; what it's done hurts, and it's taken a fair bit out of you. It's common for your dreams to be flavoured with things you've seen or experienced, as described.)

My dream last night was the usual weird shit. This one involving a naked bald guy and repelling potential intruders with a kitchen knife. And laying carpets. I think this may be something to do with DIY and whether I'll be able to do any more painting if my hand can't take it, as I was thinking about that last night. (Possibly.) ;)
