    Current mood: pleased

    Three good things.
    1) I can definitely walk a little bit without the crutches! I went to the bathroom and back twice today. (Our house is very small, but still, that's further than I've been able to do before!) Now I am going to attempt to wash my hair, although standing for more than a few minutes does make it ache.

    2) I've been knitting Fair Isle! I've always been too scared to try it, but I used Stitch 'n' Bitch and it's really not all that intimidating, just fiddly and annoying. I'm making a bag for a little girl with a My Little Pony knitted into it. (I bought the pattern before I could even knit, just as an addition to my collection.)

    3) Matt went to the computer games shop for me today, and bought me a new PS2 controller. Then he made me steak and chips for tea, because I had a craving. Hurrah!

A craving, eh? But no, glad you're getting better. That's grand!

Yay for walking!

And the toughest part about Fair Isle, I think, is learning to knit with the hand that doesn't usually hold the yarn. But it really makes things so much easier, as I made Hayden's stocking not using Fair Isle techniques, and it was SO HARD.

This post pleases me. Particularly on the walking and considerate other half front!

Caz. "Little girl" isn't code for you is it?

Also, hooray for unassisted hobbling!

Not this time!

One of my colleagues has a 5 year old who's newly obsessed with MLP. (Me giving her a bag of some of my duplicates may have helped.) She's going to have a baby brother or sister in December, who I've knitted a freakin' enormous blanket for already - I thought she should have a little present so she doesn't feel jealous of the baby.

TL:DR OMG PONIEZ!!!!!11!

This is as good a time as any to mention this: have you seen the My Little Pony Movie? I ask because I spent a significant portion of my youth really wanting to be a Flutter Pony.

Y YES, YES I HAVE. I may own the DVD. And the sequel, The End of Flutter Valley (though it was split up into episodes and aired on TV instead. It's not very good.)

I vaguely remember watching it as a kid, possibly from the rental place down the road, and being annoyed by Baby Lickety-Split. The Smooze was totally awesome though. Did you have your own Flutter ponies?
