Varon = Taichi?!
So. Varon looks like Taichi and thinks like Masaru. Except not completely, because Masaru's a doofus. (Seriously, that's the best word I can think of to describe Masaru.) He likes to fight, but he's not dramatic about it like Masaru. He just does it.
See, they could be twins, if Digimon and Yuugiou's animation styles were more similar.
 | | | Typical "Grr, don't mess with me" look. Seems to be common among those tough-boy protagonist types. If Varon is a protagonist at this point. |
 | | | General serious look. Tai doesn't often look serious, so this was a rare find. XD |
 | | | Have I mentioned that I love Varon in this episode? It's also one of the few Doma dubs I've seen. His accent made my ears bleed at first, but I gradually got used to it over the few episodes I saw. If not for the excessive slang, it might almost be a little cute. >_> |
 | | | And this is the one that just seals the deal, really. They both like to dive right into the middle of trouble while holding out various powerful shiny objects. XDD |
See? Barring age, animation style, and eye color, they're identical. o_O
...Holy crap, it's Varon and Yami.
 See, Yami/Matt is being all emo, and Tai/Varon is being the good friend and trying to cheer him up. It all makes sense now. O_O
That settles it, then. Varon and Yami are really Matt and Tai with more hair gel. And some dye, in Yami's case.
Note, however, that I still do not like Taito. The kids are in fifth grade. I can't slash boys younger than my youngest brother.
