So I'll remember this later and continue musing over it:
Kisara is very idealistic, but she's also... Naive's too strong a word. Given her family and her background (which, of course, hasn't come up in the whole four days I've been playing her, but it's forming in my head), some of her ideals haven't quite been put to the test yet. She's much like canon Yuugi, I think. She'd be the one to advocate believing in yourself and never giving up and always having hope and all those things that are fit to put on inspirational posters, but she doesn't always realize the weight of those sayings or how difficult it can be to actually carry them out. Yuugi was a perfect example of carrying those things out to the end. He never doubted and always held on to little ideals like that, and they ended up carrying him quite nicely.
While watching episode 183 a few hours ago, which is the one right before the end of Doma, I realized just how accurate our Savior!Yami really is. ...I want to quote this, even though the subs are exceptionally wonky in this episode. Said to the freaky Dartz-snake-thing: "Is that you? Are you the one that has summoned my soul here?... Aibou, in this fight, I've been supported by everyone. It's the first time I've clearly understood my responsibility and mission as the nameless pharaoh. My duty is to destroy the darkness on this planet... All right, come on! Your anger and hatred, I'll accept them all. Let all the darkness of the heart on this planet be shouldered by me!" Savior indeed.
I've been very, very idly toying with the idea of Yuugiou being somewhat of a religious analogy and Yami being Jesus, because of the resurrecting after three thousand years and saving the world thing. There are lots of ways in which the image doesn't fit, of course, but this quote in particular seems to work.
...Mokuba shouldn't be saying "whore." >_>
