What kind of person walks past
... a women lying on her back in the middle of the path with a small child next to her? I wouldn't have thought anyone would, yet someone did that to my mum this afternoon. Rohan was OK, if a little shaken (she was carrying him when she fell), but mum really hurt herself as she focussed on saving Ro and didn't do anything to save herself. She had to call the man back to help her as she couldn't get up on her own.

For something cheerier, I'm hoping to get this
    Photobucket

in the post in the next few days, it's my parcel for my swap partner. I've had so much fun putting it together, I just hope she enjoys it!

Your poor Mum! It is really amazing what people will walk past.

That makes me so mad! My mum, who as you know is unsteady on her feet from a partial disability, has fallen in public several times, and people have been similarly callous and ignorant. Gits.

The swap looks like fun, though! I can't wait to see what the parcel you receive will contain!

My mum's had similar experiences to yours. For every person who's stopped to help, another has walked straight past and ignored her. But it's even more shocking that the guy walked past when Ro was lying there too. I'm glad your mum and Ro are ok, Danielle.

Ro wasn't lying there, he was standing next to her, crying. Still unforgivable.

OK, see this is because in my head, Ro is still a teeny, tiny baby! But yes, absolutely unforgivable.

The world gets worse. Unless you knit... I hope your swap partner loves your parcel!

I hope your Mum's OK :-)

And I hope your swap partner enjoys their gifts, that's quite the spread you've got there!

Believe it or not, that's actually a fairly small swap parcel, compared to some. I'm amazed by how much some people have bought their swap partners. Knitters and crocheters are helping to restore my faith in humanity.

Oh no. I hope your mum is ok. I am hoping your parcel will be in the post tomorrow. Everything is collected in a box. I just need to do some prettying!

That's horrible. I hope she isn't too badly hurt.

Disgraceful. I hope your Mum will be okay.

On the upside: that is a beautiful pile of swap swag! I've only done one swap, but I got spoiled nicely. I've been meaning to sign up for another.
