and if I thought it would be you -
I'd hesitate on purpose to prove I wasn't waiting.

I'm living in a dream these days and
imagining cats crawling
looking for your hiding place.
You were denied and returned;
you do that a lot, but I wish
you'd just go away!
...sometimes...

If I thought you could see me inside
and if I thought you could do any good -
I'd hesitate by accident in revealing I'm afraid.

I'm staying in this dream world
imagining a smile
calling you from hiding.
But we both know it's a farce -
I want nothing from you,
other than that you'd go away!
...sometimes...
