this is my first time posting....

my bf of a year and a half just broke up with me....i stopped cutting a year and a half ago...when we got together....he made me feel alright with myself and everything that was going on....and now hes gone....and all of my old feelings about myself have come back and i cut myself 4 times on my hip...all i could do was stare at myself in the mirror and watch myself bleed....i dont know what to do now that hes not there to make me feel ok....nothing but him made it better....and now hes gone and im left alone...idk what to do...

wow...I'm so sorry to hear that! The only thing I can really say is that getting hurt like this, by having a 1.5 year long relationship end, will need time to heal. You need to realise though, that with him you could feel okay about yourself and everything that was going on, so it is not impossible to feel that way. Try to find the reasons why he made you feel that way, and try to use that to be able to feel like that on your own...It's hard, but it's not impossible :) Good luck... (Reply to this) (Thread)
