The four of us were seated at one side waiting for the crowd to disperse, go home and write all about their fan encounter on their LiveJournals. It took a while or an hour for the crowd to disappear since new ones kept coming. Poor guys didn’t have the chance to rest yet. We all waited as the guys changed their clothes in their tour bus. Damn boys are taking a long time. Serena was getting sleepy, which is a surprise and I was just staring at her yawn. Anna and Candace then invited us to engage in more whoring in front of our cameras. So we did. They don’t call us camera whores for nothing.

After thirty something pictures, one of the security guards signaled for us to come inside the bus. Serena suddenly forgot all about being sleepy and was up and giddy once again. With a huge ego, Candace stepped inside the bus first and the rest of us followed. Their bus is so huge I could live in it forever – which might be the case if we are going to be makeup artists for the band. That is if we don’t get a separate transportation.

The four boys were seated luxuriously on the sofas and invited us to sit down, which we did of course. Each of them introduced themselves even though we sort of knew them already due to information found on internet and lurking around. Lurking pays off actually. Now, it was our turn to introduce ourselves. Anna went first.

“Um…yeah, so Emmy and I–” she pointed at me, “–have been makeup artists ever since we became best friends and met these two other idiots who always asked to be made up every week. They’re the only ones who are getting their hair done free of charge.”

“What’s your name again?” Ryan asked, not taking his eyes off Anna.

“Annabelle.” All three of us replied and Anna just glared at us with visible redness around her face again. She turned back to Ryan.

“Sorry. It’s not Annabelle, but Anna. Nobody calls me by my full first name unless they’re angry or are part of the Ayers family.”

Ryan nodded. “That’s normal…Annabelle.” Everybody snickered, except for Anna. Wow. We only met each other for like what, 10 minutes, and everybody’s joking around with one another already.

“This is your entire fault!” Yeah, put the blame on us for saying your name.

Ryan laughed. “It’s alright, Anna. I was just kidding.” He smiled at her. I could tell that the three of us silently thanked Ryan in our heads for calming my best friend down.

Anna continued on telling more about herself; ranging from the basic information down to her favorites. It was Candace’s turn and while she talked, everybody just stared at her for talking so fast. I’m not even sure if they understood a word out of her mouth. Candace has these tendencies wherein she talks fast and the shifts at normal speed and in rare cases, very slow – especially when doesn’t like you. At the rate she’s going, she obviously likes being around Panic!

Serena was next and I wish she made her introduction longer that Candace’s, but no…she decided to cut it short and let me have the floor and the boys’ attention. Everything I planned on to say about myself just suddenly disappeared from my mind.

“Anytime now, Emmy…” Anna mumbled, telling me I needed to speak up already.

“Oh, right. Sorry. I totally spaced out there. Anyway…as to what Anna has mentioned earlier, we’re makeup artists ever since we became best friends and met these two. Uh…I’m afraid of being alone in the dark?” Wow, that was lame.

Eh, so more lame stuff came spewing out of my mouth and they just smiled, nodded, chuckled and whatever. It’s hard to tell if they’re laughing out of amusement or out of being mean because we’re a bunch of fools.

A small interview occurred about being the makeup artists for the band. Candace and Serena weren’t exactly part of the interview or the job, for that matter; they were just chilling at some part of the tour bus playing video games or whatever. Anna and I were so engrossed in answering all the questions that were coming out of their mouths when we suddenly realized we were already being asked about our personal lives.

“And this has something to do with our new found job, how?” Anna asked.

Ryan shrugged. “We just want to get to know you a little better. Is that such a crime?”

“Of course not, but we have all the time in the world to get to know each other more, but for now, it’s getting late and we have to go.” Man, I feel like such a bitch for saying that. It’s like I didn’t want to be around their company or what, but I swear to God it wasn’t meant to come out like that. Way to go, Emmy. “Um…I didn’t mean it to sound that way.”

    “It’s alright. No worries.”

Anna got up from her seat and called Candace and Serena out of their video game modes. A couple of groans were heard as they trudged all the way to the front of the bus. The four of us were about to go through the door and leave when Spencer suddenly stopped us.

“Hold up. Let us take a picture of you guys.”

“Are you sure? We all look like shit right now.” Candace pointed out. She did speak honestly though. I mean, despite the air-conditioned bus, we just came from sweat after standing for how many hours under the sun and bumping into other people with sweat as well. Just thinking about it makes me sick.

The band laughed and Spencer grabbed a camera from one side of the bus. He told us to smile, do whacky faces and pose right in front of them. We didn’t really mind but we’re in front of celebrities and yeah, it felt awkward, but we still had fun. After how many pictures, they got our cell phone numbers and promised to call.

We all said our goodnights, goodbyes and take cares. Four girls were walking down the street at midnight and by the time we arrived at our apartment (Candace and Serena are sleeping over); it was already about 1 in the morning. We normally don’t walk that slowly, but with tired feet, it was difficult. We almost even got run over by a speeding car while crossing the street.

Candace immediately fell fast asleep on the pull out couch we provided for her and Serena to sleep on. It’s in these rare occasions where she’s not drunk to fall asleep so fast. All of us retired to our bedrooms, changed to our pajamas and dropped dead asleep on our beds, purposely – or maybe accidentally – forgetting to brush our teeth.

I totally wish our breath didn’t stink when we talked to them.
