    sadness
hmmmmmm I wonder if anyone has read any of my post. woke up to the sound of the ringing telephone. Couldn't get to it cuz upstairs we have no phone as of yet, I am still waiting for hubby to install the line. Hmphf!!
It is is sad, one of my close family friends has passed away, and her mom was wanting to know where all the food came from for my Dad's funeral which was this past April. Lisa the one who passed died from Lung Cancer, yes she smoked. She is now the fourth on that list of folks close to me who have died from Cancer and all smoked. Lisa was younger than me and what makes this even worse is we buried her brother the week before my Dad passed. I can't even begin to imagine of having your children passing away before you do. This is so sad. anyone who may read this please say a prayer for Kay and Tom and the rest of thier family. They need the strength to get thru. thanks

We just closed on our refinancing yesterday.

I'm the husband, I have been out of work for a year due to a hip surgery that doesn't want to heal correctly.

We aren't dead broke, but if I don't go back to work real soon... have to look into social security, and that, I don't want to do. I have seen how much they don't pay.

Things do get better. I don't know how, or why they do. But every time in my life, when I thought we would never see the light of day again, things got better. Some times you have to take action, like you did with the refinancing.

I hope things begin to look up for you and your family. I really do. You certainly remind me of us. Except my 17 year old son is a lazy good for nothing... (he really is)

Best of luck.

thanks for the input. Believe when I say the finance probs arent' new to us. you see I became ill in 1992 and that started our spiral of ups and downs. I am permanently disabled and yes on Social Security since 1997. well it actually started a year from that date. and had to hire a lawyer to boot. It just seems that anytime we get a little ahead then boom we get slammed. Never a dull moment in our household. I am really sorry about your 17y/o. Our son had a choice work and be able to do things like go to the movies and such or stay home and live within what means we had. that is the main reason he went to work, and I think he felt bad knowing that our income had been more than cut in half. he also wanted a car and he knew in order to drive it he would need money to put gas in it. Sorry about your hip surgeries. I pray that all will work out for you. take care and have a good one
