Take A Step Before You Leap
Went for my first walk outside the house since the op, round the block. It hurt. And took me about double the normal time. And last night, I had managed to decrease my leg bend heel/butt distance to 38cm (the goal is 18cm, by the way), but I really had to work for it. Ow. Never mind. It's a start.

Managed to get tickets to see Nickelback at Wembley Arena this October! I am pleased. No, they're not Rammstein (nothing will EVER be Rammstein), but they have a good rep for live performances and I have most of their albums bar The State and Curb, which I dumped because they weren't up my alley, so I'm looking forward to seeing them play. Speaking of live performances, I'm about halfway through the Alter Bridge Live At Wembley DVD (the concert I attended last November). Bloody good, although the audience participation is rather disappointing so far, in terms of singing along. Were they all there to see Black Stone Cherry or something? No slur on BSC, as the lead singer did have the most incredible voice, but yeah. AB was why I was there, and I sang my heart out. Ah, well.

Long weekends FTW! OK, I won't be able to enjoy a nice long lie-in the way I usually do, thanks to Stupid Painful Knee, but it will be good to go at my own pace again.

The Wembley Arena concert is on Monday 8 October. They're also doing the O2 on Monday 1 October (I did try for that first, but it was a no-go). Do you fancy going?
