I slept in this morning thinking it was Saturday.. skipped a shower and now feel grimy. J.'s got a client in his office; I can't help thinking he knew. Also questioned my dress. I wear jeans, J's never mentioned I should be dressier... usually a collared shirt or my usual moss green corduroy jacket is me.

I smiled at him and he just looked at me as if glancing at a piece of furniture. Jerkface.

I know what they think of me.. he probably fancies that J. is banging me. The usual secretarial rumour mill. I want to be clean, homely and older today. I feel gross.

I should get my hair cut.

I don't know. It rarely matters. I guess I get caught up in being "professional" sometimes... J.'s so good at it, and I rarely care. I do say "jerkface". No, not as of yet. There was that one dispatch party thing in Brampton... he didn't suceed in dragging me to that. I was totally puzzled by the ambiguity. Was it my boss asking me to be there, or J. inviting me? now, now I will have fun concoting accents for "jerkface" in my mind. For some reason I can only picture it being said with that sort of ..humoristic vocal violence that is used in plesant disagreement. Maybe you should tell him that your going to need him to be a bit more clear..if it's J. or Boss asking for certain things. Did he seem upset when you would not go?
