Watchward
Billy and I have headed home, for a while. It's nice to be back in Chicago, this time of year, as spring starts to show her colors and whatnot. But, alas, that has yet to happen, what with this silly snow misting all over the city... It's a pity, I suppose.
Last night Billy and I went out and caught a movie... It was all right, I suppose, what little of it I actually was awake for. Heh heh. After that, when the lights turned on and the movie was over with, we decided to go out to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. It was time for a change in our cuisine, we both decided... Over dinner, we had an unusual conversation.
"So," as he put his arm on the table and rested his head in his right hand, "how are things with you?"
"What do you mean? I tell you about work and whatnot when I get home, just about everyday."
"Yes, I know, I just thought that there would be something... Hrm... Interesting you might have to say, that's all. I don't know, I figured that maybe there was more to say other than, 'oh, today was pretty good', and so forth."
"Well, dear, I'm not sure what you want to hear... Things have been going well in the office. I have this nice few of people walking on sidewalks below me, and occasionally, if I'm feeling mean, I'll throw some things out the window and peer out to see if it actually hit anyone..." I cringed.
"Has it?"
"Not yet... Thankfully."
He chuckled a little bit, "well, that's definitely good to hear."
"Yes," I smiled, "it most definitely is."
Afterwards, we took a taxi to get some dessert... There's nothing better than cheesecake. NOTHING. Heh heh! Then, from there, we walked a couple of blocks to our home on the thirty-third floor. After I put the keys on the table, he wrapped an arm around my waist, from behind me, and put his chin on my shoulder. I giggled and kissed the side of his head before he started tickling me.
From there... His hands traveled to destinations best kept secret, and I, in return, gave him the same, special treatment, and I must say that last evening was definitely one of the better evenings that I have been witness to, lately.
Ps - Lauren, I'm happy that you're back!
