Next Morning
{long other post, everyone was sleeping, new day LOL}
The next morning, Christopher actually slept in----the sun was up when he chose to wake me up screaming. He had a late night, so it was understandable. I got him settled and happy. I tied a piece of string to the hooks at the windows, tied some fabric at the end of the string, and moved his rocker under it----he was entranced.
I shuffled through my bag and got the asprin, along with the half a bottle of water we had left. I made a fresh cup of coffee for Jack, and had the bucket in hand. Whatever he planned to do---get sick, need coffee, or need asprin, I was ready for him.

I grabbed Sawyer's arm and half dragged, half pushed him towards our hut. It was a scrap to say the least. But finally, I pushed him in the hut and seated him in a chair.
Jack looked up, surprised.
"You need to see him," I whispered. "He's sensitive to light, to sound, and he's having headaches. Look at his eyes."
Christopher fussed, and I went to him, picking him up and holding him to me.
Sawyer made a move to leave, but I shoved hard on his shoulder, seating him again, and blocked the door.(Reply to this) (Thread) |
