    THE POOF

So lately my boyfriend has been acting really jealous and over-protective. We both attend the same college, and when he even sees me talking to another guy he gives me an attitude. We've talked about it so many times. I haven't done anything to lose his trust so I don't understand why he acts this way. To make matters worse, lately everything I do is wrong. Like the way I wear my hair, tanning or my short skirts.. but I've done these things way before i met him.. like yesterday we had a fight about the POOF. I posted a pic of LC because that is exactly how my hair looks when i pull back my bangs- same color, length, everything. He constantly pulls out the bobby pins and it pisses me off so much. I know its something little, but when i dont feel like doing my bangs i pull them back and it makes me feel like crap when he says he hates it and tells me to wear it down. like, i think its just proper manners if u dont like something u shut ur mouth.. ughh idk if im overreacting, but i just needed to rant.. sorry girls.. lol

My current facebook status: Practicing my poof =)

ha, so yesterday my boyfriend and i were leaving our apartment and he said something i didnt like so i hit him. not like really hard or anything but like playful. so we get into he elevator and he fucking puts his hand on the top of my head and moves it around messing up my poof. i was so pissed and hes like you just hit me for no reason so now your hair looks goofy.
that made me want to strangle him. ugh.

but maybe somethings going on in your boyfriends life thats on his mind? i know i over analyze and pick at everything when i've got something on my mind. but he shouldnt take your hair out. thats just mean.

umm, so his actions are semi abusive.

he should love you for you...totally and completely.

and even if he had an 'issue' with your poof, he shouldnt tell you.

let alone touch you and remove the pins. so odd.

(run my dear. your kids will have horrible self esteem issues.)

yea, it realllyy bothered me.. i made it really clear i wasn't going to change anything abt myself, not even a stupid poof, jus because he didnt like it.. i told him i wear my hair, i tan, and i wear clothes because i like them, i wear them for myself not to impress anyone else and he needs to get over it...

it bothered me alot because if i wasnt as strong of a girl as i am, i would have ended up in tears and took my hair down for him..

but like you said, i dont want this to be the start of an abusive relationship. im watching for other signs, thanks girly, for the advice <3

That was absolutely what I was thinking. I dated a guy who would try to control things I wear, do, and the people I hung out with. I was with him for too long and in the end I broke up with him, but not without rape and blackmail. He did me real wrong and I have left over emotional issues he created.

Give him an ultimatum and make sure he stops. If he doesn't, don't waste your time. Take it from someone who has a lot of pain from putting up with shit like this.
