Skin confessions
Should I just break down & buy a clarisonic?
I have never had a facial. I'm chicken. Got rosecea so I'm nervous. I just feel like my skin needs a pick-me-up. & I have been going in the sun. There, I admit it. I'm sick of looking like i'm from Forks, Washington.
Anyone have any glowy skin secrets that are working these days?
I'm using skinseuticals SPF Pevonia moisturizer Pevonia exfoliator (I hate the smell of this. need new) baby oil to remove eye make-up
I usually do bare minerals, but I haven't been wearing much makeup at a;; lately. Touch eclat under the eyes, blush, and eye makeup when I'm working. LIPSTICK. ALWAYS lipstick although Chanel discontinued my tried & true color so thais probably 80% of my blah feeling.
Beauty tips appreciated. XO Babe Really Pale y

Nothing wrong with getting some rays. I've been spending a little time outside too, and I enjoy it. There. I said it. Plus, vitamin D is good for you, and just like everything else, I'm guessing the real thing (ie--what our bodies produce in response to the sun) is better than anything you can get in a pill. Plus, we live in the frozen north, so it's not like we're by the equator and are in serious danger of year-long over exposure. Even Gwyneth got told by her doctor to go in the sun more due to severe vitamin D deficiency. True story!
GET THE CLARISONIC! Seriously, just do it already. If you have rosacea, use the most sensitive brush available, and use it once a day every other day to avoid irritation. I read an article somewhere that people tend to be a bit obsessive when it comes to the Clarisonic and that it can lead to over-exfoliation of the skin, which can cause drying and thinning, which kind of defeats the point. If you are using the Clarisonic, you won't need additional exfoliating products, which is an added bonus--adios smelly exfoliator!
Glowy secrets=green vegetables. I've been eating tons of fresh greens, (either a green monster or a fresh salad every day, also started adding Amazing Grass Superfood powder to my smoothies) and I swear my skin has never looked better. Also....bronzer. I like Benefit's Hula. Tarte's lipstains are nice, and I've always been a big fan of Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I've never seen it look bad on anyone, although lately I have been feeling brighter, sheerer pinkier glossier colors.(Reply to this) (Thread) |
