Diet mixers are your friends. Good bye desserts masquerading as drinks and helllooooooo club soda, lotsa ice, and fruit garnishes!

Vodka with a half shot of cointreau and club soda with a few wedges of orange and a ton of ice!

Be bold at the bar, and don't be afraid to ask for what you want. ;)

I agree. Tell them exactly what you want. If you have to pick from this list, the bloody mary isn't too bad and it's heavy enough that I don't usually feel compelled to have a second.

Another thought- order a shot of liquor, straight up and bring your own juice (low cal cran, light oj, what have you). I've been carrying SOHO bags as of late, and could fit the kitchen sink in them. I like to bring my own cran berry juice and just add a spash to vodka.

I was going to say gin & tonic, but that's on the list!

My fave is straight, good scotch (or whiskey, or bourbon) on the rocks. I don't know the caloric damage of such a thing, but I don't really want to know, either - some things are just best left to be enjoyed, and to hell with nutritional science. ;)

Yes m'am. It is champagne when I don't give a damn & lots of it please. I have a lot of obligatory events & don't want empty cals, but rest assured when I am truly celebrating I will indulge!! AWESOME ideas ladies. Thanks for your saavy!
