Monday, bloody Monday.
I woke up this morning and at about 8:15 went for a walk outside in a t-shirt and shorts, barefoot. When I got back inside I checked the thermometer and it was only 31. It was a little chilly, but I wouldn't have guessed that cold. And then when I was reading the paper, a bird (it looked like a finch of some kind, a little grey thing with a sort of pyramidal red-orange beak) flew into the sliding glass door. It got back up and flew away as if nothing had happened.
