Another fun filled family trip, this time to niagra!
Saturday, worked from 7-2 then got in the car for a 6 hour drive, stopped at a rest stop to get food then found a hotel and spent the night.
Sunday, did some more driving, only about 3 hours this time, crossed the boarder, found our hotel, but we couldn't check in yet so my family went to lunch at a resteraunt for a hotel, that overlooked the falls. and then my family and i walked around and did some site seeing. then about 4 we checked into the hotel, went to the pool, and went to outback steak house for dinner, but we had to wait a bit so me and my mom walked around out by the falls a bit. after dinner we went back to the hotel for about an hour and then me and my dad went to see the falls at night and the fireworks.
Monday, we all got up early and went to starbucks to grab some breakfast before we went on an 8 o'clock tour. the cost for 3 coffees, a hot chocolate, coffee roll and a muffin - 38 dollars (insane!). After starbucks we got on our tour, crossed the boarder (the guy at customs was so mean!) to go to goat island and see the falls. after that we crossed the boarder again back to the canadian side and did some site seeing, we went to rossy glass where they put on a show for us, the guy made a horse right infront of us with glass. did u know that cranberry glass gets that color because they put gold into it? yup. after that we went into some caves behind the falls, and then did some more site seeing around the area with the tour. around 12:30 we went to the hilton to get a birds eye view of the falls and have lunch. after that we went to see an IMAX show about niagra falls. and once the movie was finished we went on a boat ride that took u right upto the falls (the maid of the mist). it was so pretty. After that the tour was over and we went back to the hotel, went swimming then out to dinner at a place the tour guide suggested. then we went back to the hotel. About an hour later me and my mom went out to do some exploring. and got back around 9. then we just stayed at the hotel from then.
Tuesday we checked out in the morning, and then went to niagra on the lake to take a jetboat ride. i was so nervous, the jetboat took u right through class 5 rapids and whirlpools. but it was really fun. after that we found our B&B/Inn and then went into the town a bit to get lunch and look around and also do some shopping :). after all that we went back to the Inn and waited around for a bit until it was dinner time. at dinner we went to firehouse inn, it was a little italain resteraunt. really good food :). after that we all went back to the Inn and bed.
Wends, got up early cause we were going to do a 9 hour drive..i dont have much to say about wends cause we didn't do anything interesting but drive..and eat food so yeah. but anyhow, it was nice to be home when we got home. i didn't have to share a bed anymore haha.
ok that about it.

I saw one fo those IMAX movies when I went there, but I'm not sure if it's the same one as you saw. It was about these crazy people who decided to jump over the waterfall in like, a barrel or something. (Reply to this) (Thread) |
