    Why am I a mercenary?
Why am I a mercenary? Sometimes I have no idea. Yes, it is the practical thing to do. You have no obligations, no alliances, no bloody red tape, etc. But the things you get hired to do. I'm telling you, they remind you that you're just a mercenary. I guess we get looked down upon because we have no cause, but that's not true. I personally hate governments; if I were a slave of one, that would be abandoning my morals, no? I carry on my own cause and my loyalty is never questioned because I'm probably the only one who follows it. I guess you could say my cause is stronger than that of all the government blokes because it embodies everything I believe, not what someone else has told me to believe. Anyways, governments see us mercenaries as an advantage, I guess you could say. No, we don't come cheap usually, but we can't be linked back to any government. Well, yes, if the government botches the paperwork, as it is sometimes apt to do, our actions can be traced back to the specific government. But we get the dirtiest, nastiest jobs. It's like they think we have no morals, that we can just be bought off. And on top of the bloody awful things they make us do, we have to swear secrecy. I say that we don't get payed enough. Right now I could get several governments in some deep barney and they seem to have forgotten I exist. Dangerous thing to work with mercenaries. But, because of this, we seem to increasingly get more power. I know some pretty powerful chaps on the black side who could set the whole world against itself with the secrets they know. I don't see any advantage in that. They're basically screwing themselves over; they seem to fancy this though. Right now, despite that I can't tell you what it is that the bloody Americans are paying me to accomplish, I'm back in Glesga. Maybe, I'll relate some information after it's all passed over; shake the American confidence a bit. Ana's doing some work for me here. I might make her come and say hi to you later today. She's a bit busy now though. Ok, she's yelling at me to help her out. Right then, out.
