SETTING: Gryffindor Common Room
Harry Potter Harry was sitting with his feet on a chair afross from him in the Gryffindor Common Room. He lazily had a book on Transfiguration laid out on his lap, and he read half-heartedly. He was slightly tired, but decided to get the reading done anyway.
Ginny Weasley: Ginny walked in from where ever she had been, which was really just strolling around the halls and thinking. As she started her way to the dorms, she saw the messy head of hair she was friends with and instead changed directions towards it. Sitting down, she slumped down a bit and said, "'lo, Harry."
Harry Potter: Harry adjusted himself in his seat as Ginny sat down, sitting up and turning his legs in towards her. "Hi, Ginny, how are you?"
Hermione Granger: Hermione had just finished the same assignment Harry was attempting to do. She walked down the steps from the girl's dorms and into the common room. The first thing she noticed was Harry and Ginny. "Hey you guys." she said cheerily as she took the last chair.
Ginny Weasley: "I'm...okay," she replied, smiling a bit at him. She wasn't sure how to act around him, so better just act friendly. She looked up at the newcomer and smiled, "'lo, Hermione."
Harry Potter: Harry smiled back at Ginny, considered putting his arm comfortably around her. However he wasn't going to be comfortable in that position at all, especially with Hermione nearby. So he simply greeted Hermione, "Hello."
Ginny Weasley: Ginny yawned a bit, having been thinking hard, and seriously, thinking hard can make you tired. She got up and pulled a footstool over to her, sitting down again and putting her feet up. "Is anyone else as tired as I am?"
Harry Potter: Harry nodded, staring idly at the book. "Yeah, I think I might reconsider my thoughts on school," he chuckled. He couldn't help but move slightly closer to Ginny. "It is almost dull around here lately. The only weird thing was... well, Professsor Lupin." He sighed, looking slightly away. "Did anybody here anything about what happened to him?" he seemed slightly worried.
Ginny Weasley: She nodded and looked into the fire in front of which they were sitting. "I didn't hear anything, but I really hope he's okay. He's always been there for anyone...I can't understand why he would leave." She bit her lip, a nervous habit. Suddenly she noticed Harry was sitting a lot closer to her than he had been a moment ago. She turned to him. "D'you mind if I rest my head on your shoulder?" she aske quietly, for his ears only.
Harry Potter: Harry turned to Ginny, smiled and nodded. He slipped his hand comfortably on her knee, it was much easier than reaching around her neck and shoulders. "Go ahead," he said softly, still unnerved by the Lupin thing.
Ginny Weasley: Ginny smiled in thanks and rested her head on his shoulder, placing her hand over his on her knee. "Lupin's very capable. I'm sure he'll be alright. I can owl Dad and see if he knows anything, though. Would you like me to do that?"
Hermione Granger: "I suppose it was something important..." Hermione offered. She raised an eyebrow at Harry. Since when where they so close? She smiled inwardly and thought Finally.
Harry Potter: Harry nodded slightly. "Yeah, I think that'd be nice. Although I don't know how much he could even tell us." He sighed frustrated. "I bet this is all Voldemort's doing, and I don't have a good feeling about it at all!"
Ginny Weasley: She shook her head slowly, trying to keep him calm. "No, I don't think it's Voldemort's doing. It's not a good thing, but I don't think it's particularly evil, either."
Harry Potter: Harry couldn't believe her, and looked away, and then looked up at Hermione. "You're the smart one... it has to be Voldemort, right?"
Hermione Granger: "Er..." she said, trying to not get caught between the two of them. "Well.I suppose it could be." Hermione bit her lip and chose her next words carefully. "But...perhaps he just needs a break from teaching?"
Harry Potter: Harry frowned, it hadn't helped much to hear either one say it wasn't Voldemort. Deep inside he felt the same thing happened to Remus that happened to Sirius, and it wasn't a happy thought. He offered a smile and leaned his head back against the plush of the chair. "Perhaps."
Hermione Granger: "Don't worry to much about it." she suggested. "I'm sure the Order would know if it was something bad. And your scar hasn't been hurting...has it?" Everything was good if the scar wasn't hurting, right?
Ginny Weasley: Ginny had been thinking and she piped up with her suggestion. "Perhaps he fought with another teacher? McGonagall or Snape? I mean, they've both been in rather foul moods, haven't they?" She looked towards Harry to see if he approved of that suggestion.
Harry Potter: Harry shook his head, although still lazily reclined. "No." Although as he said it, his head started to hurt slightly. It was all in his mind, although he still gasped and felt slightly unsetlled. He looked up after Ginny's suggestion, pursing his lips. "Snape is always in a foul mood, and I don't see McGonagall forcing him to leave." He sighed.
Ginny Weasley: She shook her head the best she could, sitting the way she was. "I don't think he was forced to leave, Harry. I think he chose to leave..." She wasn't exactly sure how he would take that, probably get upset at her, but that's what it seemed to her.
Hermione Granger: Hermione sighed. Once Harry got some idea in his head, it wasn't likely that anything was going to stop it. "Harry? Why don't you just Owl Lupin yourself and ask him?" she replied, shrugging. "Wouldn't that be the easiest way to clear this up?"
Harry Potter: Harry began to whine, and took his hand back from off her knee. He crossed his arms after a moment. "I don't see why he'd go and try something like that, and if I owl him..." he paused, turning slightly melancholic. "It could be a trap, just like Sirius was." He closed his eyes and bit his tongue.
Ginny Weasley: Ginny raised her head off his shoulder. "Harry, do you honestly think that Lupin got taken away from HOGWARTS against his will?" She raised a brow at him, but reached out with one hand, gently touching his face. "Dumbledore should know. Why don't you talk to him?"
Harry Potter: Harry obviously couldn't talk with either of them about this, because they just weren't being reasonable! "I was... but okay. I guess I will have to, won't I?" he grumbled. He couldn't tell them about all the stuff Voldemort wanted to do to his mind, and how he didn't know anything about Occulmency and was scared shitless because of that.
Ginny Weasley: Having been around boys all her life, she recognized a look on his face he may not have intentionally put there. "Is there something else bothering you? Anything else you want to talk about?" she questioned quietly and gently.
Harry Potter: Harry frowned, feeling almost hopeless. He shook his head and turned away. "I'm fine, good. I'll talk to Dumbledore this weekend and get everything all cleared up. It is fine."
Hermione Granger: Frowning, she turned to Harry. He usually had a reason for to think Voldemort was up to something. She didn't go Ginny's way, which usually never worked with Harry. "Maybe it is Voldemort." she said, giving Harry a look of confidence. "But whats your reasoning behind it?"
Ginny Weasley: She didn't believe him, but didn't argue. She just moved to the corner of the couch and hugged her legs to her chest, listening to Hermione and Harry talk it out.
Harry Potter: Harry felt almost bad for having Ginny move away like that, but sighing and leaning on the opposite end of the couch himself he just shrugged, holding his lip and contemplating what he should say... "You've seen what Voldemort can do. The reason he lurred me in and ended up killing Sirius was because he knew that was one person I cared about most. If he takes out Remus, then who?" He was starting to scare himself, so stopped, not couragous enough to look at Hermione or GInny.
Hermione Granger: "Yes, I have seen what Voldemort can do." she admitted, feeling bad for her friend. He had lost so much. "But there has to be something important that immediately made you think it was him. Its not like when your shoe goes missing you automatically blame him." She gave him a small smile hoping he'd admit to what it was.
Ginny Weasley: Ginny saw what he was worried about - losing Remus. He didn't want to lose another person that he cared about. Leaning forward, she patted his leg gently. "Since you're so worried, why don't you talk to Dumbledore or McGonagall. They might know more that they'd be willing to share."
Harry Potter: Harry liked Ginny's response better, so turned to her and gave her a small smile, leaning closer to her. "I said I'd talk to Dumbledore in the morning... do you think McGonagall would tell me something?" he fretted, fearing Dumbledore slightly at this poooinnnt.
Ginny Weasley: She bit her lip again. "She might break down and tell you what she knows. I know she's strict, but last year I heard a lot from Ron about how she was defying Umbridge and things that she wouldn't normallly do...so it's quite possible." She moved herself closer to him, smiling. "I also think she has a soft spot for you."
Harry Potter: Harry gave Hermione a small smile now, nodding slowling. "Then I guess I'll talk to her first." He rolled his head back again and looked at the ceiling, his stomach still clenched as the thought of loosing anyboyd else.
Hermione Granger: "Sounds like a good idea." she offered. Hermione looked up at the ceiling also. "Erm...anything interesting up there?" It was usually difficult to get Harry back into a good mood, but it was worth a try.
Harry Potter: Harry sighed. "No, nothing interesting." He sat up, stretched his arms behidn him and reached for the transfiguration book. "I'll talk to you two later, I'm too tired to watch ceilings all night." Le
