Current music:"The Hardest Button To Button" by The White Stripes

    Just to break the silence...
It's dead here, so in an attempt to break the silence...

    What's your favorite Nirvana album?

In Utero for me. Greatest album ever made...period.

Bleach and Incesticide were very raw albums -- which I loved -- but nowhere near better than In Utero. For one, Incesticide was just an album made of a bunch of rares and singles and b-sides to hold off fans after Nevermind for their next album. I doubt a "hold off" album with rares and unreleased b-sides can be considered better than the masterpiece they were creating at the time it was released.

My personal favorite is Bleach. I think that Nevermind was too commercialized. It's the one that "made them" as some say. And I like them better before MTV raped their music. But that's just me.

Nevermind was the commercialized album. While still good, Nirvana had little control over it. In Utero was Nirvana and Steve Albini's creation -- not the media or MTV's -- but their's. Bleach, as I said, is great and under-rated -- but it was their beginning... In Utero was them at their height.
