8 MORE DAYS !!
Sometime ago, I had a random chat wid a music friend who was sharing the cab home wid me. I asked him whether he is gonna attend the Nine Inch Nail gig (next Monday !!). Negative as he is not into that kind of music. He kinda told me the idea of listening to negative music (as what we called it emo music, I guess) need positive energy to counter, else its not good for the mind and soul. He discreetly described the effect on a friend, who he claimed too open-minded, hurt peoples around her. And so he condemned her. From that conversation, I realised he is not a superficial person. He has wisdom. Its just that that kind of music not his cup of tea.

Yeeah, I guess it appears that I adore weird/quirky/emo/sad/dark/negative/realistic element in any form of composition/creation. But I am not an emo person inside out. That brave chinese girl, now a brave bento girl at the moment, even 'accussing' me for loving movies wid sad ending, making me sound like a sadist XD Well, as retarded as usual, I dun have the intelligent to elaborate for myself. But I know I enjoy the philosophies/arts/whatever-it-is in that direction. And it doesn't have to be weird/quirky/emo/sad/dark/negative/realistic and unconventional lah *shake fist~~~ I am not picky at all. Thats why my description for most thing is "not bad" and even "good". I am just dun love/like easily.

Yeeah, I know I am a diplomatic arsehole.

*knocks* not surprising that i'm replying to this, right? haha. i think people generalise art too easily, especially when they take it at face value. when that happens, then everything will be either this or that – there will be no shades, or nothing in between, or beyond. too often, a song is taken as just a song, especially when one doesn't have the 'imagination' to go further than what the song presents in its form. i say 'imagination' but i really mean losing oneself without the negative connotations. there is too much to be said about that, and i don't wish to flood here, so i'll skip the rest. we can chat in person next time. :) (Reply to this) (Thread)

Yeeahaha~ I guess its very much like a religious. Its all about influences and the way we wanna believe. And we often take that as a ruler to measure everything, hence we may appear judgmental, prejudice and even biasing. And hanor, when we say imagination, I think everyone more or less able to do that. Just that most of it are actually subconsciously generates, or rather say restricted by the religious/influences/belief in us. Longggg comment from me!!!! eh eh.. i nv say u like sad endings is a bad thing hor! :p Not that u're a sadistic and only like sad endings, but I think some sad endings are generally much more realistic, and got yi han mei (遗憾美) *nods* Even I myself agree that sad endings (when used appropriately) are good and have it's literature value inside, just that.. aiyah u know being a sweet char boh that i am *blush*, even though I know the sad endings are a better way to end the show.. i can't help kaopehing.. WHY NOT A 大团圆 endinggg *wails* And ur friend who commented on the NIN, emo songs and negative influences etc.. i think can just heck care him la (though I think u also dun care haha). everyone's got their set of believes. If that's wat he think, so be it loh And though I'm not a NIN fan, i dun see their songs as "emo" leh and most imptly, music is all about emotions. If their songs can impact ur emotions and u like them, why nottttttttttt!!!!!!!!!! Songs that touches my heart doesn't necessarily touches urs, vice versa.
