BEATLES-RELATED VALENTINE'S DAY GREETING


♥ February 14, 1843 ♥

The general concept of Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite was developed from a poster that John saw. All of the characters (Pablo Fanque, the Hendersons) are derived from this poster, which now hangs in Sean Lennon's bedroom. John found the poster in an antique shop in Knole Park while filming the Strawberry Fields video. John took an immediate fancy to the poster and bought it.

--According to the poster from which John Lennon took the lyrics, this performance was indeed going to be on February 14, 1843 for the benefit of Mr. Kite. The erstwhile performer was expected to vault over men and horses, hoops and garters, lastly through a hogshead of real fire.
