Doormats
It's funny when you talk to some ultra serious people, find them worrying about the most trivial of things, and then catch yourself thinking "ooops, I've been there too".
Recently I've been spending more time talking to my neighbour, and realised that she's always (well it seems like always) upset over some thing or the other.
I think everything boils down to this: She detests feeling like a doormat.
Well, no one appreciates a clean doormat, but once the doormat is wet or dirty, thousands of complaints fly before you can say... yucks! Doormats are also stepped upon. But hey, that's their role? Their purpose.
Human beings are in a different class. Pastor says we're in God's class. We won't be doormats unless we think it. So before we wallow in despair and laments about the fact that we're being doormats, no matter what brand, color or type, let us snap out of that and believe that no one can make a doormat out of me unless I allow them to. =)
*In other news* I went for an Asian Films marathon on Sat, and my oh my, my fever soared to 38.2 degrees by night. Decolgen is good. One pill and I'm off to ECP to do my usual 2 hrs of blading on Sunday morning.
I've also finally caught up with bloggies' entries for the week. It's been crazy, and next week looks crazier. But everytime I think of my beloved bloggies, I know I'm not alone to run this journey! *hugs* Everyone, let's hang on till we next meet again!
And oh! I have an intern under my my team's wing since last Wed. It's quite... errr.. different to change roles from an intern to an intern's advisor suddenly. Hmmm... But hey, of course I'm nice. *big wide grin*
Yenew's always feeling hungry. Not that I'm on my sandwich diet. I'm more on the healthy diet, if you get what I mean. I also try to adhere to the 10 glasses of water, no water before and after food theory. But I'm still hungry. Guess it must be the greedy yenew yearning for.... say.... 2 piece chicken? Hmm.. how about... pizza? Pasta? Or simply Thai (oops I mean phat thai)? And the ice-cream? Fried banana balls? All that is history. *tears* Only chicken marcoroni soup for yenew these lunches (unless otherwise specified). Ahhh.. At least dinner's served in half hour, so I shan't go and sleep the hunger off. I shall... anticipate..... *evil laughter*
Last bit of news: I'm totally recovered from my fever, despite ignoring a warning sms from Ms Wong not to appear this morning in ECP.
