It's Friday, You Bastards
I will be the first to admit that Charles Krauthammer has an impressive resume. If you don't look too closely at it. I mean, who's going to argue that things like Oxford Scholar and Harvard Medical School don't look good? But then, after he graduated from Harvard in 1975, everything goes downhill.
Because he chose to go into Psychiatry, which is neither science or art and is certainly not impressive. It probably could be and at various times in history was probably at least part science and/or art but since long before 1975, when Charlie took it up, it has been nothing but a giant money making scam. And the continual inventing of disorders such as "Secondary Mania" doesn't make it or the criminals who practice it any more honorable or less laughable.
If you want to be charitable, you can say that the accident that paralyzed him for a year during his first year of med school left him with severe brain damage that led him into the Psychiatry Industry and then right wing politics so it's really not his fault. He's just a retard. And since the charitable side of the fence is the side I like to be on, that's just about all I'm going to say about Chuck.
And that allows me to focus on Dennis Miller...I know it seems like I pick on him a lot but is it my fault that his show comes on right before Coast so it's the one I hear? No. Ironically, it's not Denis' fault either. We are both just victims of The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy That's Out To Get Me...and to him, I want to say, "What were you thinking? Really? Charles Krauthammer is some kind of genius? And contrary to what you said last night, I do read his column and it just confirms everything I am saying about him. He is nothing but a bottomless pit of stupid unworkable ideas. How could you build him up that way, like he was the second coming of Albert Einstein and Leonardo da Vinci all rolled into one compact conservative package when he's really nothing more than Sarah Palin in drag with a slightly better vocabulary?"
Dude, seriously, you really need another William F. Buckley and the best you can do is guys like Chuck and Lord Monckton? And then when you get an idiot like Chuck on, you don't even go into how even a brain damaged retard like him is pro abortion and anti-death penalty? What gives?
The bright side for you is that your despot could win. Adolf Hitler won fair and square and while Mitt isn't nearly good enough to do it that way, stealing an election is the next best thing and he could pull it off. The brightest side of all, though, for everyone concerned, is that both my Agent, Drusilla, and Editor-In-Chief, Style Manual, are strenuously objecting to all this political talk because it's Friday and Friday's are for parties, not politics, and for once, I agree with them.
In the first place, it's too hot to argue about anything, though at 75 (23.8889C), today isn't nearly as hot as it has been lately, but it's still too hot. In the second place, Fifi, my Sommelier, has been going to the fair everyday---The little one (http://rockislandcountyfair.com/) which is just buildup to the big one that is coming up in a couple of weeks (http://www.mvfair.com/)---and it would be an unpardonable shame to bump the fair inspired Theme Drink she invented for tonight for more rambling about retarded right wing politics. So without further adieu, here it is:
1 oz Butterscotch schnapps
Fill with Mountain Dew
Add Butterscotch Schnapps and Mountain Dew to ice cubes in a Collins glass. Stir and serve. Tastes just like the cotton candy you buy at the fair!
I hope that gets you in the mood for tonight's big game: Strip Bumper Cars. I can't say too much about it because I don't want to ruin any of the surprises but I can say that it's a little like strip poker with a few jolting curve-balls.
