Orson Would Be Proud
Yes, this is Today's Random Coast Notes but I changed the title this one time only (Till I decide to do it again) because Ian cheats. He has walked off with Coast Host Of The Day and even if someone else pulls off a miracle and ties him, he's going to get, at the very least, get a duplicate Coast Host Of The Year award.
This is the mark of a true genius. No, make that Genius. Some say he's an Evil Genius and he did all this on purpose but either way, it boils down to Genius. The Evil Genius camp is saying that he made all those horrendous bumper music choices on purpose (And call me a conspiracy nut if you want, but they seemed intentional to me), just so he could pull this stunt and force me to give him Coast Host Of The Year. Even though it was totally impossible for him to pull it off.
See why he's been branded a Genius? And it doesn't stop there. Not only did he undo the bumper music mistakes, he less also undid the lesser sins, like bad questions and good questions that he never asked at all in every show previous to this but he did it in a fresh, original, brand new way that wasn't fresh, origional or brand new at all.
See? He did it as a Quantum Contradiction AND made it a first rate tribute to Orson Welles at the same time! If you're unfamiliar with the night of October 30, 1938, please go listen to it now. And if you missed last night's Coast and you don't already have StreamLink, now would be a very good time to get it.
Or maybe, the Powers That Be at Coast HQ (We call him Art around the office) will take my suggestion and make this show available to everyone for free for a month as their Halloween gift to the Multi-Verse. I haven't run all the numbers yet but my initial findings show that the Karmic payback for them on this deal will be measured in the hundreds of trillions of dollars along with the very good happy feeling that comes from doing a good deed that makes others happy that's priceless.
As you may have already guessed, this show gets one million out of ten stars and if you're a struggling, hard working, yet still largely unknown and grossly underappreciated Coast Host who thought that this might finally be your lucky day, send your hate mail to Ian, not me, because it's all his fault.
