Visible only in the pale yellow lights of streetlamps and the slowly fading grey scars of sidewalks, another thin white line settling over dark streets abandoned for the night. With a warm mug of milk and a reading lamp, winter seems calm when it's on the other side of a pane of glass. The warm smells of spices and crisp pages of a book replace the musk of pine trees and crackling of leaves underfoot.
The stealthy black cat
stalks along the alleyway
Softly falling snow

Torn rubble
strewn across a ground
already covered
shells of buildings
Like dying trees
Their leaves
already fallen

Writing in a foreign shape

Light footsteps
Familiar formalities
After the explosion
After the celebration contradiction
No reason for the explanation

Tires
Like rice on the ground

You all KNOW that "Battle Royale" is a great movie... and that "Prince of Tennis" is on crack. Let us combine the two and have everyone's favorite tennis playing boys on an island with three days (2-months game playing time) to determine the last man standing.
