Just some things
I was home all day yesterday with an awful, awful hangover. My friend Amy and I went to our favorite French-inspired café, Trocadero on Wednesday night because they have "Wine Lover's Wednesdays" there, with awesome sales on bottles of wine. Between the two of use, we drank three whole bottles of this fabulous Sauvingnon Blanc...and smoked an entire pack of Djarums. We have no self control whatsoever. We know we're soul mates because we're pretty much the same in every way, except I'm a German-Recovering Catholic-Fag, and she's a Polish-Recovering Catholic-Korean-Fag Hag. But dammit, we know how to have a good time!
I signed the lease on a new apartment last week! I am SO excited about this place. The building is one of the oldest in Milwaukee, on the National Register of Historic Places. It's part hotel, part apartments, and here's the website if you wanna see my new digs: The Astor Hotel. I am so excited...and I can't wait to officially have my own place again to really start over with a clean slate, and forget all the hellish shit I've had to put up with over these last few months.
I also have a 2nd job! There's a new coffee shop that'll be opening across the street from campus soon called Espresso Christoph, and I got hired! I'm uber-pumped because I've wanted to work in a coffee shop since I became a coffee drinker, about 11 years now. I have been in training the past 2 weeks, along with the rest of the staff. The staff is awesome too. We all get along really well and have tons of fun together. The place is supposed to open next week, but there's still some construction going on, so I'm not sure when it will actually open. But I'm super excited!
