Wrestlemania Thus Far.
With Wrestlemania 21 a mere 3 weeks (I think) away. There have only been three matches offically comfirmed by WWE TV. Though there are still quite a few others where its all but confirmed. So far the matches are.
World Title Match:
Triple H (C) vs. Batista
WWE Title:
John Bradshaw Layfeild (C) vs. John Cena
Singles Match:
Shawn Michaels (Raw) vs. Kurt Angle (Smackdown)
Thats all that has been offically confirmed....Oh and the Stone Cold Steve Austin at Pipers Pit thing but thats not a match. Other matchs that you can count on though are these and heres why.
Singles Match:
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Orton was looking at the Smackdown magazine with Taker on the cover last week on Raw. Orton although a face is still the legend killer and at 13-0 there are no bigger Wrestlemania legends then The Dead Man.
Womens Title:
Trish Stratus (C) vs. Christy Hemme
Sad that this is going to happen but its been building up the past few weeks and with Christy in Playboy now the WWE will want to do everything they can to get her on TV cause at the moment shes there big cash cow.
Criusierweight Title:
Chavo Guerrero (C) vs. Paul London
This has been building up since No Way Out when London beat everyone in the six man match but Guerrero who cheated to pin London. Plus London has a makeover with new pimp coat & Ultimate Warrior/Texas Tornado like tassles on his boots.
Singles Match:
The Big Show vs. Akebono
Last week on Smackdown we got word that Sumo Wrestler supreme Akebono challanged The Big Show to a match. Show responded with anytime anywhere. It will most likely be at Wrestlemania to capture all the crossover appeal of it perfectly. Japenese fans would eat this up.
Singles Match:
Luthor Regins vs. Mark Jindrack
Another one that has been building up for a few weeks. I dont quite think its Wrestlemania caliber but since its the next PPV its almost a shoe in. It would be good for the lower card I suppose.
Ladder or TLC match:
Chris Jericho vs. 5 other wrestlers
All we know about this one is that last week on Raw Jericho said he thought of a match for wrestlemania that involved himself 5 other people and a ladder. So either it will be a 6 man ladder match or one of the 5 other guys will be be Jerichos parther and this match will be a TLC. If its a TLC expect Jerichos partner to probally be Chris Benoit, with oposing teams of Regal & Tajiri to make it for the tag title and Either Edge & Christian or Mohammd Hassan & Divari. If its a ladder match I expect, Jericho, Benioit, Christian, Edge, Hassan & Shelton Benjiman to make it a IC title match. Either way I cant see this match not being a title match.
Guess thats about it for now. Well find out more on Raw tommorow night.
